Pastor2Pastor — In His Grip

  • annette logan

i am enjoying reading your articles God bless your ministries.

  • Carl Meyer

I like these words from the Bible. As Christians, sometimes we forget what a wonderful blessing it is to be in his grip every day. Important words and thoughts from the bible (and of course Brother Davis).

  • Adetokunbo oni

Thank you for your encouraging message. When we are lonely, we are confident that our Lord is always there, even though we cannot see Him physically. God bless.

  • Thank you for the encouraging word. Praying for you.

  • Tom Skowronski

Thanks Barry. Very nice message. It is amazing how similar the church you are in is to the one I grew up worshiping in -> St. John Kanty, Buffalo, NY. Thanks for the memories as well. “Keep up the fire”

  • Hein Makkink

Thank you Barry. You always bless and encourage me. Awesome work.

  • Pastor Aaron T. Lewis Sr.

I just watched the video of Pastor Barry and was moved and touched to know that there are pastors out there that gets lonely also. Thank you Pastor Barry for sharing with me my greatest fear. May my God Bless and keep you!

  • Maxine Taylor

Thank you pastor Barry , Ilisten and it’s very encouraging , and I ask God’s blessing on you so you can continue to bless and encourage many more pastors that are lonely.

Be strong in The Lord and in the power of His might.

  • Pastor Eddie

“In is Grip” was an encouragement, thanks so for the connection!

Pastor2Pastor — Am I Responsible for Church Growth?

  • I am happy to come across your site. Church growth is very essential in the church administration, and it is good to have you to share your experience with me.

  • Rev Kenneth Franklin

Thank you for reminding me! We do get caught up in growing numbers and forget God has called us to be faithful and He will provide the success!

  • Thank you for your practical comments. Very encouraging to remember that we are called to be faithful and God brings growth!

  • Carl Meyer

Very timely message, Barry. I do not take it as a minister’s cop out but encouragement when things do not go as we would like them to. God is ultimately in control….we would do well to remember that.

  • Very sincere message Pastor Barry. I agree with all you have said. Salvation is off the Lord. A Pastor or Shepherd is called to feed and look after the sheep, but Sheep gives birth to sheep. In other words The labourers are few. Take Care Pastor Barry.

  • Thank Pastor, you explanation of the scripture had not only illuminated my spiritual mind ,but had lifted a great burden away from my humble shoulder. May God Bless You.

    Pastor Heart

  • Thank you Pastor Barry.
A great reminder and a great encouragement.

  • A Most useful and educational resource for any Minister / Priest to listen and inwardly digest. The role of the Priest is defined firstly by a calling that is led by The Holy Spirit. It is this Spirit and the guidance of the Shepherd that Pastor Barry is trying to fire up within all. Let each of us called by God support each other, assisting all our Brothers and Sisters in Christ as true shepherds to gain all and return all to the flock. Pastor Barry’s presentation once again is a reminder for all to undertake God’s will, and it is His will which will ultimately be done. May the dear Lord Jesus, Bless us all and accompany each of us on our daily journey in achieving this goal with all whom we meet.

    • Dear Brother,

Thank you pastor Barry for your encouragement, very interesting and that is so true there was a time I use to feel discouraged, but not any more , I just try doing exactly what you said to do , and trust God to do His part. Again thank you very very much.

Amen!!.thank you so much for the word of blessed!

  • Mel Janzen

This really ministers to me, because I am a pastor of a very small congregation, and every Sunday i see before me so few attending and this feeling of failure comes on me.I shudder when even one of them is away. But I will remember that it is the Lords church and not mine. Thanks pastor for your encouraging word.

  • David

We are living in the time I believe we should realize the works of Satan surrounding Christians with his trickery ….Those of us who are Pastors should encourage and lead the flock into the wolf den with the Sword of The Lord and deliver the Word of God to the sinners and lead them to Jesus Christ..ALL Christians are commanded by God to go into the highway, hedges and anywhere else souls can be found.. Some will plant the seed and others will harvest the seed after the Holy Spirit has watered and fertilized the soul…We must trust the Holy Spirit to prepare the way for acceptance of God Word for Salvation…No one can enter the Kingdom of God Accept through Jesus Christ…..All Christians are Sowers of The Word of God…refer to > Mark 4:13 thru 32..Give God All Glory…Honor…and Praise….

Praise God Pastor Barry,Thank you the Bible verses.God bless you in everything you do.

    In His Service,

What are the Two Things we must Stress from the Pulpit Over and Over Again?

  • Donley Jenkins

So very true but yet sorely lacking. It is my opinion (which is probably not worth very much) that the greatest enemy of the church today are those who profess to be Christian and are not, including many famous preachers of the day. I say that with some inside knowledge as I have been a full time pastor for 40 years.

  • Pastor Donley GF Jenkins

You are absolutely correct. Jesus is the only way. As important is the truth that we must be born again.

By the way great USB 2.0.

Will get the sermon one when able. I am a senior on a very low fixed income trying to help a small church who cannot afford a pastor. Keep up the good work.

  • Brother Michael Pierce

Amen my friend Jesus is the way the truth and the life no one cometh to the father but by him. Praise ye the lord.

Pastor, How is Your Heart?

  • Carl Meyer

Very nicely done. I like that you complemented your spoken word with bullet points off to the side. These videos will be very helpful to anyone wanting to spread God’s word and to learn more about God’s word. If possible in the future, it might be helpful to some to refer to scripture in the short talk and put the text of the Bible verse underneath the outline. Once again, very nicely done.

  • Senior Pastor Maurice C Napper

Thank you Barry, I am looking forward to your next talk. I also shared this with my associate pastors and friends on Facebook. Have a blessed day in our Lord.

  • Dennis Anderson

Greetings…the video in this spot says “can’t be played with my present configuration” (Windows 7) Not sure what that means but It won’t play…and no further info. Any thoughts or others who have had a difficulty.
    thanks for your work.

  • Alan Freeman

A brilliant reminder for us all Keep up the good work

  • What a short and relevant piece, thank you. One additional point I wish to add is that as Pastor, do not hide from yourself. Be open to God even if not to man and he will help you out. God will find us out anyways. David could only hide for a little less than nine months, but God searched him out.

My second point is for us to remember that God weighs our action and that should send holy fear into our heart. If we walk with this understanding, ministry becomes an assignment instead of competition and we will be able to remain faithful to him that has called us and maintain a good heart.

    Thank you for the opportunity.

  • rev. I. c. singh

Excited to hear about what is there for me and my congregation. I.C.Singh

  • Minister, Rodney E. Dover

Wow! Very nicely done Brother Barry. I truely needed to hear that today. God bless you and your ministry

  • Vher Palang

Thank you Pastor! it really great reminder for to be more cautious in my daily ministry. God bless you Pastor Barry!

  • Atepera Lee

    Dear Barry,
Thank you for your pastor2pastor talk. Some christians of contemprary church when we talk about what we wear in the church, they said that God is looking in the heart not the outside,But I said we are representing God and we need to dress neatly to show our respect of Him. Also people are looking at us in the pulpit we need to look good as God is a God of things in good order.Yes, we need to check our heart is inline with God’s will and repent of any wrong doings. God bless your ministry.
